Say..you wouldn't happen to know if it comes on anytime soon, would ya?
Well, the DVDs come out September 18, so you could buy them or Netflix them and not worry about the fundraising interruptions.
One thing about PBS is that their schedules are completely different at different affiliates. We had the shows on two different times on two different (DC and Baltimore) PBS stations. We were able to locate them using our cable company's search function on the guide.
Have always thought that weird noise was guitar.
I believe the theremin was only used during the crazy break in the middle: [link]
That seriously maybe one of the prettiest pictures of a newborn and mom I have ever seen, CI - she is going to be a stunner - just like her mom.

Paging HEC!! Major haircut alert!
I am getting ALL the hair cut off. My hair currently falls to the middle of my back and has some seriously unkempt layers. Wed. night = major change.
I am going for the ever-popular angled bob. Shorter in back (but not so short as to require shaving the neck), longer (chunky layers?) up front. I am getting one solid color with highlights on my now totally color-free head.
Anyway. I am now also the proud owner of a digital camera - so there will be pics on Thursday. Yay!
Music news?
I have been kind of blah about music lately. Saw the Thermals. They were great. I don't know. The new Spoon is fine. My favorite album of the year may end up being
Mapmaker
by Parts & Labor.
I can't put my iPod in without listening to "The Gold We're Digging" at least twice.
On eMusic, 'Parts & Labor' have a separate listing from 'Parts And Labor'. Each has different albums listed.
Anyway, I'll have to check
Mapmaker
and Spoon's
Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
(that's the one you're talking about, right?) when I get home.

I noticed that too, tommyrot. Both the "and" and the "&" versions of Parts and Labor are the same band. And both albums
(Stay Afraid
and
Mapmaker)
are great.

Yes. Sasha Frere-Jones says it sounds like the Pixies (he likes the album) but I think it just sounds like Spoon. A good album all around.
I like both of those albums, too. I especially dig Parts & Labor's cover of the Minutemen's "King of the Hill."
And thanks, Tina!

Yay! Hurry Thursday.

Yeah, I figured they were when I saw they were both from the same city. 'Cuz otherwise, confused hipsters would be rioting.
