Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am going to see what seems like a very Buffista band, the Horrors,

I love that they modeled their album cover after the first NY Dolls cover.

Apparently they're from some rundown corner of England with derelict music halls and such. They took one over and turned into their scummy rock and roll paradise. Typically their club would be flooded exactly three hours after the show started and everybody would be drenched in mysterious red water.

I want a derelict boardwalk and/or Edwardian music hall in my neighborhood.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Sheena Is A Parasite

Okay, I love The Horrors based purely on the above song title, this thread, and Wikipedia - they used Samantha Morton in their video! Bless.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sorry for being completely off-topic, but Jon, if you get the Disney channel, you really need to record the episode of Kim Possible that airs this Sunday at 8:00pm. It features a math-themed villain called The Mathter.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Thanks for the tip, Tom! The TiVo online scheduler is giving me no love (hiss!), so I sent myself an email to make sure I remember when I get home...

The episode you want is "Mathter and Fervant".
