Remember back in the 80s when everybody did a 12 inch remix?
Well, Tom Waits did one too on "Hang on St. Christopher."
It's...curious. Actually I think it might've influenced his production on "Heigh Ho."
'Unleashed'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Eeeeee, Kane!
So I went down to Liverpool last night to see Chris Kane and Steve Carlson perform, and gosh they're really quite good. Like, I enjoy their music--there's nothing quite like throwback country for the midnight journey through the Cumberland Gap--and there's the fangirl element too. (Whew, but the fangirls were out in droves last night. Bless them.) But truthfully, they're really very talented, and managed to rock it out with just two guitars and two microphones.
Much love!

Were you singing the Katrina & the Waves/Bangles song on the way there?
Sadly, no. I am not that cool.
But did you have a UB40 in your hand?
Sadly, no. I am not that cool.
I don't know if that's the definition of cool. However, if you are going down to Liverpool you should have a UB40 in your hand. Uh...the actual form, not a CD of that band. Though I suppose that fits the lyric just as well.
If you are going down to Liverpool, you should have a copy of "You'll Never Walk Alone" on your iPod. Preferably sung by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Or possibly "Ferry Cross the Mersey" by that same band.
See, I should have had this playlist before I went. Spilled milk, and all that.
No, Hec. "You'll Never Walk Alone" is Liverpool FC's anthem, not "Ferry Cross the Mersey."
