Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Many thanks, y'all!

I somehow managed to twist my ankle and my periodic tendonitis is killing me, so I've been hobbling around the house in pain almost all day, as if my body decided to say, "Welcome to the first day of the 2nd half of your life!"

Happy Belated Birthday, CI. May you avoid further injury and sell a zillion copies of your Thompson book in the year ahead.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, I just heard Freezepop's song "Melonball Bounce"...

Is this track too new to be on eMusic and iTunes? I must have it! (Link goes to the point where the song starts in a webcast of the full program.)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Damn, that song is over-the-top even by Freezepop standards.

Tommy, if WMBR has the CD (which we should -- the band is local after all), I'll get it onto buffistarawk. Might take me a little while as I won't be visiting there for a few days.

Matador is having a $5 sale on some of their slowing-moving titles. Mostly vinyl, but there are a bunch of CDs as well: [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thoroughly genius Sly Stone medley from Pee Wee Herman stage show.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I am wallowing, wallowing, I tell you! in Cowboy Bebop soundtracks. You know, I had only a passing acquaintance with the anime, but the soundtracks are genuis mastering.
