Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Thanks, P-C. As I said in Natter, I was very happy that quote made it in.

Punishingly Intricate

As I said in Natter, I was very happy that quote made it in.

I like the MIT=geek cred quote.

Hey, what song is it again that the Lothars do on the Sandanista tribute album again, Jon?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So, I get back from the F2F, which involved two days of driving from Atlanta to Salem, MA. I unload, unwind, and decide to try to regain a sense of normalcy by going to Beer Works for a late dinner and a peruse of the Globe (among some other periodicals), when who should show up in the arts page...

Thanks for putting a mighty surreal capper to my F2F weekend Jon. I laughed so loud when I realized what I was reading that I got very odd looks.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Boston-centric Punk video archive (late '70s - early '80s)

Here's a video archive of about 40-odd vintage punk (and post-punk, power pop, and new wave, and I don't want to argue about it) music performances. Most of them appear to have been taped between 1979 and 1983, in fine old dive bars in and around Boston. Link, link 2. Bands both famous and obscure: Buzzcocks, Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Specials, Mission of Burma, Gang of Four, Dead Kennedys, Stranglers, Stiff Little Fingers, XTC...

Have not looked at this yet....

That's a great site. I think I may have linked from here to a cure video a while back.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

TMBG's next album will be launched exclusively on the iTunes store. [link]

Of course, TMBG's last album (not for kids) really sucked.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh. When I googlebate my name I come up with my defense of the leisure suit.

Lapel points spread elegantly out like the wings of Jonathan Livingston Seagull...a suit that says Remy Martin, Isaac Hayes, Hot August Nights...begging for the caress of Qiana and the kiss of a gold chain. --David Smay

Also, you can find my Daisy Bang illustration by Andrice Arp.

Hey, there's a good Bubblegum podcast with a fair amount of rarities on it.
