I just watch the White Castle commercials! Congrats on your TV debut, Jon. Also, I have to concur that the "Sometimes I get fries...." is hysterical!

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Hey, Jon, I dig your tv rock god commercial, too! Awesome.
Jon's commercials are awesome.
smonster turned me onto Albannach - a Scots tribal drumming band with a bagpiper, bass drum, and bodhran.
Ooooh! Thanks, j & smonster! That's great stuff. All this time, I was looking for a running soundtrack of drums and bagpipes and I never knew it.
YEE-OUCH!!!! Okay, except that I just got a bad track in the stream and it dumped a crapload of loud audio garbage at me. Which wouldn't be so bad, except that I'm wearing headphones (which is quickly becoming my prefered way to listen to things -- when you're forced to concentrate, you can pick up the most minute details).

I just cherry picked a couple more Nick Drake songs off iTunes (thanks again, NPR).
Wow. Such a shame we can no longer get new output from this man. Wow.
Hey, does anyone have recommedations for good noise-reduction earplugs to wear to concerts that aren't freakishly expensive? I don't like using the squashy foam earplugs because they muffle things. I've been told that better ones exist, but that's all I know.
I loved doing the "sometimes I get fries", but it was entirely the ad agency's idea. The blues riff for the main part, on the other hand, was all my doing. Thanks.

That was hella impressive. It sounded very Hendrix, really.

That was excellent. Both ads are really great, Jon. I can't wait to see them on TV and yell "I know him!" at people!!
Also yay for Emmett's first concert. Mine was Herbie Hancock in Tokyo. Which is kind of strange - but we were right up front and it did give me a craving for live music that has never died.

Nick Drake, much like Elliot Smith and Jeff Buckley, are artists whose fame grew upon their deaths, but whose music remains timeless.
Jon, I finally managed to watch your White Castle ads. They're fantastic! I have to send the links to my dad, who has been threatening to build himself a theremin for years.
