JZ's article said Girl Groups by way of Velvet Underground.
I lean Spector more than Bacharach on her sound. Her song "God Knows (You Gotta Give To Get)" is a near-perfect slice of Girl Group music with a modern ironic razor wit. One of my favorite tracks of last year.
