I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Totally, Hec. He just kept going and going. I saw SLR twice here in Chicago on the 'farewell' tour and the crowd went hoarse screaming for Kirk. He knew he was loved.

It is sad because he was so young and had such young children, but he is a perfect example of living life to its fullest doing exactly what you love.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'm sorry to hear that he lost his battle with cancer. But I think y'all are right about living his life to the fullest.

"Either it's murder, or this library has a very strict overdue policy."

Death is always sad, especially when age has nothing to do with it. But yeah, sounds like a hell of a farewell tour, really awsome to manage to go through something like that. Death just fucks things up too much.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emmett's been on an AC/DC kick lately. Fueled in part by a visit to my friend Alex who has all their records on CD.

Our recent conversation on the subject:

Emmett: Who do you think is the most rock and roll person of all?
Me: Well, I'd have to go with Iggy.
Emmett: I'd say Angus Young. He's just a rock and roll maniac.
Me: That he is. He's definitely a worthy contender for the title. Hey, did you know there's a song called "Iggy and Angus"?
Emmett: Really?
Me: Yep. By a group called Sloan. It's a great song. I've got it - we can put it on your iPod. [sings] "Iggy's cool / and Angus Rules."
Emmett: [singing to himself] "Iggy's cool / and Angus Rules..."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If Emmett is, in fact, about to rock, tell him we salute him.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

He's clearly on the highway to hell.

Also, this is kind of funny. He's started to play a little air guitar, and I find myself correcting his technique.

Which is so dorky it's making me laugh.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Will he be back in black soon?

Will he be back in black soon?

Only if he makes a jailbreak.

You need to get him a school uniform, short pants edition, like Angus likes to wear.
