Jon! That's so exciting!

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Jon, that's so cool!
::am now tempted to filk "Jukebox Hero" to be about a guy with a theremin::
Jon, how awesome is that! If I had a camcorder and lived in Boston, I would totally be there for you, man.
Yay, Jon!
Awesome news Jon. I wish I had a video-corder to help you out (or even knew anyone who did).
Yay Jon! I will become irrationally excited when I see a White Castle commercial with you in it. Excellent!
Thanks for all the good wishes, everyone. I still can\'t get over that the casting call specifically asked for me! It\'s so weird!
I found a (non-buffista) friend to do the video, but a special thank you to DX Machina who offered to truck up here from RI.
Jon, what song do they want you to record?
They sent me the words and I\'m supposed to make up a melody. At least for the audition -- maybe they have something particular in mind for the actual thing. Right now, I\'m thinking of a basic blues riff, a la \"I\'m a Man\", with me \"singing\" between riffs. Because there is not a theremin player alive who can sing and play together both on pitch. Seriously -- I think both activities use the same neurons or something.
In other news: I didn\'t make the connection until a bandmate reminded me, but Peter Berdovsky, one of the Mooninite guys (the one with the dreads), set up a Lothars show at MassArt a few years ago. I have emails from him and everything! ;)
