Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'm home now and could upload it to brawk2 if no one else has yet.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Whoa. If you go to your iTunes and click on Radio, then click on Jazz you get 47 streams. One of them is MacVouty Radio - all Slim Gaillard, all the time. How cool is that? None more cool!

"Either it's murder, or this library has a very strict overdue policy."

Wonder if that will work in not-iTunes, I feel I must try at least.

The Regina Spektor gig got sold out before I could lay my grubby little hands on a ticket. Not to happy about that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm... I've never tried the Radio option in iTunes.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I used to listen to the altcountry stations all the time at school. They have a pretty good selection, but when too many people are bogarting the stream it buffers like a mofo.

MacVouty Radio

I used to listen to WWOZ when I was mising New Orleans, but I haven't listened to streaming radio in a while.

Did anybody post the Little Willie John for SA? (I didn't)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Cast A Shadow"

Love that song.

I have the Beat Happening box set. Nice.

What a great song!

What's your indie rock song of the day?

According to my iPod at this moment, it's Pere Ubu's "Life Stinks".

I was fiddling with my iPod this morning and just let the first three songs play alphabetically. It was pure pop bliss with Fountains of Wayne's cover of ...Baby, One More Time; '39 by Queen (their most Beatley song) and 'Til I Die by the Beach Boys.
