I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I got my month of eMusic songs today. Coincidentally, they got the new Kristen Hersh album today: [link]

So far I am really liking it.

The second song just started.

eta: Oh, the third song is really good too.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Great commute today (ok same as always) courtesy of The Decembrists (thus me not paying so much attention to the crowding people).

FYI - Sons & daughters and Myla Goldberg are great walking with a smile on my face songs.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

When the Decemberists played in Boston last time, they got a great 4 part round going with the audience on \"Sons & Daughters\". I actually got a bit verklempt.

They did it here too, loved it. And I just heard in a Year-end NPR All Songs, Christgau poo poo this type of thing. Saying people only find the audiance interaction/participation stuff from The Decembrists interesting because the public has become used to decades of entertainers ignoring them.

ugh hate him and he ruins the podcats for me.

I like the idea of podcats. I think its the kind of thing that would intrigue tommyrot too.

Christgau used to be safely ghettoized at the Voice. Now he's loosed on the nation.

In all seriousness, that\'s a really dumb thing to say. Lots of bands today do audience participation. Sometimes it\'s annoying and sometimes it\'s good. The Decemberists happen to be quite good at it, mostly due to the charm of Mr. Meloy. But they aren\'t breaking any new ground or reviving anything.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I would like to post that "Edible Flowers" by the Finn Brothers is my new favorite crack song, which I have to listen to 500 zillion times a day at least and that all of you who download that kind of thing, should go download it RIGHT NOW.

And Christgau is indeed an ass.

I lurve my NPR podcasts and All Songs is one of my favorites of them.

Mr. Meloy is quite the charmer. We also did an audiance only sing-a-long with the "I Love New York..." part of Myla Goldberg.
