Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Early Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson? More recently, maybe the Hold Steady and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah?

Ann, that's a ferret.

I don't know whether "nerdy" fits them, but how about Buddy Holly/Crickets, Roy Orbison, and especially Del Shannon?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm.. the Neurasthenics? (as a movement/style name, not a band, though probably it's been done).

Jonathan Richmond and the Modern Lovers. Morrissey They Might Be Giants

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

The Pop Group?

Quiz: "King's Lead Hat" is a word jumble for what band?

You know my band covers this, right?

Hey, does anyone need actual Feelies albums? I could upload those, too.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The EP would be nice.

Brit-punk opens up a lot of jitter, actually: The Raincoats, the Au Pairs, The Fall.

The only EP I have is 4 Free Feelies Songs, Tom. Sorry. I have the full-lengths, though. And a mini-concert of the Feelies backing Lou Reed.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You know my band covers this, right?

Nope. Also...Cool!

Hmmm. Now I'm trying to think of what would be the coolest song to cover right now. Who is on the cusp of the tastemaker's interest right at this very instant? Just off the radar. Sometimes you can hear the burble before the bubble rises, like when the Elephant 6 bands were all going on in interviews about Os Mutantes in the mid nineties.

And yeah, I'd love to get as much Feelies stuff on BR as possible, because most of it is out of print.

I got no idea about who the next big influence might be. When I listen to bands like Espers, I think "The Pentangle? Really?"

Excellent! I'll upload more Feelies this evening after Li'l Sphere goes down.
