Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
That is a successful workaround, because the conversion from aac/mp3/whatever files to CDA effectively removes everything except the musical data, even (suckily) the ID3 tags.
wow. I have no idea what that means. I am such a technotard in some ways. oh well. I get by okay mostly.
The ID3 tags are the stuff like song title, artist, and album that are displayed by iTunes, WinAmp, iPods, or other music software. That information is stored in the mp3 (or wma, etc.). CDs are different. The digital files on a CD don't have that information, so when you burn an mp3 to a CD, you lose it all. That means when you rerip those tracks to mp3, you'll have to type in the title and artist info manually.
That is a successful workaround
You do lose some quality though, and increase the chance of having audible artifacts appear (odd pops and the like).
I know that Oscar watch-n-post is going on in Natter, but - I have been watching tonight JUST to see what I think is coming next - Three 6 Mafia doing the first rap performance at the Oscars ever. I think it might be kinda great.
I have made zero progress on my mix this evening. So now I am thinking I will make it by midnight board time but not midnight my time. Hopefully.
Uhm.. it's kinda great. But the dancers are distracting.
ETA: Holy. crap. They won.
I know! I'm flummoxed.
I am still getting over that acceptance. That was AWESOME.
I'm loading my mix now. I can't believe I'm finishing after the Oscars!
My apologies. I had a busy weekend and I'm not quite done.
