Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Why do I suspect there was a vicious smackdown between Tom and Tom this morning?

Confession: After dissing the Rhino Girl Group box set for being woefully Non-Definitive, I've read enough reviews to realize that it was always intended as a rarities and oddballs collection. So I picked up a one disc promo sampler today.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why do I suspect there was a vicious smackdown between Tom and Tom this morning?

It was the Battle of the Ill-formed Tables.

Always Anti-fascist!

God, Hec, did you think we'd take your Music Geek card away...I might admire it, you know, but what would I do with a card with a dragon on it? I did have to tell somebody in Homicide fandom who Michael Stipe is. Which made me feel both a million and a little Hecly at the same time. I need better shoes.

What? For changing my mind about the Girl Group box? Nah, I'm the kind of geek that's always re-evaluating. Nobody wants to hang around with a geek who Knows It All. Much more fun to talk to somebody who Knows A Lot, but is open to changing their mind or discovering something new.

Okay, just checking, bunk. The High Fidelity guys might get discouraged, though and spread rumors you like Simple Minds or something.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The Iggy Pop Biopic starring Elijah Wood seems to be a go. It's all over the internets.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am poking around on iTunes right now and just found "New York House" under exclusives, except no tracks are up. 38 people have taken the time to write "reviews" about the album that wasn't. kinda funny, but also people with too much time. And how does iTunes not fix this or take it down at least.
