There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Art Crawl!!!

So, somehow I missed that Kristen Hersh has a new band AND that they had a cd out and now they've got an ep that you can download for free at her website.

I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

Joe Mallon & Sue Trowbridge who run the Loud Family website and 125 Records met on loudfans as well.

125 Records has such a wonderful catalogue. The Stephen Manning CDs are especially great.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

A fellow I'm acquainted with online has a nice little webpage where he uploads MP3 mixes he's made. Not deejay mixing, but playlists (all in one MP3) file. There's some cool stuff.

Now in my head: Gay Love - Bing Crosby

It was earworming so I gave in and put on "Art Deco: Can't Help Lovin' That Man" to listen to it.

Are you ready to be strong?

Does anyone know what the music is of the Maria Full of Grace soundtrack?

Best Albums of 2005 Lists from the LA Times staff (registration required I think).

I am baffled by the inclusion of Get Behind Me Satan in so many lists - especially at no. 1. But happy to see lots of Bright Eyes and one nod to M.Ward.
