I did a better edit of the Cheap Trick, using ffmpeg, an mp3 utility that doesn't need to decode & reencode the mp3 in order to edit it. It's up on Buffistarawk now.
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
If his brother was still in the band then, then there is one more that is still the same because they are both still members.
Nope, it was totally different. They were more indie rock then. (This was almost 10 years ago.)
I keep forgetting to ask, can someone send me the info for buffistarawk?
done
Thanks!
Thank you Jon, and tina! I've been wanting that fixed for a long time.
bon, check out the jazz vocals I put up for Fay. I think there are things there you'd enjoy.
Ideas of CDs to give to my mother as a present? She's 56, a suburban matron, and loved past gifts of the Buena Vista Social Club and the soundtrack to Get Shorty. I think she was less wild about Portishead. (I was not the giver of any of these gifts). Not hip in the slightest, but likes interesting funky things.
The new Paul Anka album with all the rock covers?
and the soundtrack to Get Shorty.
Hmmm. We could work with this. I have a lot of jazzy rhythm driven instrumental score stuff.
You know, she might like some of Vince Guaraldi's non-Peanuts work. He did a lot of latin and brazilian themed albums. Also, Cal Tjader did some very fun/snappy latin jazz albums, having a big hit with "Soul Sauce." Cal's a vibes player, so she'd have to be amenable to vibes, but it's very lively, catchy and playful music.
Vince's Jazz Impressions of Jazz Orpheus with "Cast Your Fate To The Wind" is a classic.
Vince Guaraldi and Bola Sete is also very good.
Cal's Soul Sauce is fun.

Will do!
