I notice the Pitchfork review compared the arrangements to Joe Boyd's work with Nick Drake and Nico's Chelsea Girl. I'm guessing it's rather purty.
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Do you have that from Songs From The Film? 'Cause the CD reissue is fetching a pretty penny on Amazon these days.
Hmmm, I think it is. I went out and snapped it up on CD when it came out beause I'd been looking for the LP forever.
As is some of the Long Ryders stuff.
I nabbed the OOP Anthology last year when I got an itch for them. Just lucky that it was sitting there waiting for me.
However, I stupidly passed on Dennis Wilson's Ocean Blue when I had the chance and have been mopey about it ever since.
I like Diamond Days but it didn't knock my socks off. It's filed in my brain with Kim (Cooper)'s other strange folkie dreamy drifty women like Judee Sill and Linda Perhacs.

The anthology! Some, er, opportunist is selling a copy of that for £125 on Amazon.co.uk. A foolish price considering you can get it for $75 on Amazon.com.
I know all this money talk is gauche but still.
That sounds right up my alley, on all counts. Thank you!
I'm fairly sure I'll need assistance to do this. It may take some time.
the Devin Davis? Is totally my jam.
Sorry I didn't pimp him sooner.
the OOP Anthology
Is stuff from the first EP on there? Join My Gang? 10-5-60? And She Rides? Those were my favorites.
I have 10-5-60 on vinyl. No content, just boasting.

No rush, whenever you get a chance I'll be grateful. Do you have the songs copied to your computer already? If so, then just send an email with one or two songs attached as files to buffistarawk at gmail.

Yep. I expect something will come back out in print now that the price has gone shooting up. Maybe some little label like Not Lame or Yep Roc will license it.
When I get a chance this afternoon I'll throw some Long Ryders up on buffistarawk so people can sample. Here's the track listing:

The iPod is playing "The Final Fight" by Rob Duncan from the Radio Sunnydale Buffy soundtrack. Every time I listen to this and try to identify it before looking at the screen, I can't decide whether it's the POTC soundtrack or the LOTR soundtrack--certain bits sound so exactly like certain bits from those two scores. Weird.
My iPod is giving me Sonic Youth covering the Fall's "My New House" on my very favorite Peel Session.
