Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, in hilarious eyerolly work news, I am sitting here listening to the guy in the cube in front of my talk to his boss on the phone. His boss sits just on the other side of the cube next to me, and uses speaker phone. So I can hear J in front of me talking, I can hear his boss's actual voice, because he's not that far away, AND the speaker phone of J. I don't understand why they don't just talk out loud. They wouldn't even have to yell!

I can't even.

the hottest team in the American League

Er, Cleveland, surely?

The Skankees, actually (9-1 in their last 10), but let's not talk about that.

WEIRD! The same thing that Jesse is describing just happened in my office btw the 2 people with offices on either side of mine. ANNOYING.

I can't even.

The Royals have the longest current winning streak in the league. Cleveland is arguably the better team though.

That would be the Anaheim Angels (who wish they knew someone from Los Angeles, or something) Five straight. Royals 4 in a row. But whatever, come on, the Royals! Also, let's have a Jays win tonight at Rogers Centre to salvage a mighty split with the Mariners.

I discount them, because the whole city thing is too confusing.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Is anyone familiar with Maven cosmetics? I got a thing for a free makeover at Marshall Fields tomorrow, but I want to know if it's worth sacrificing my lunch hour for.

It's super annoying, right?

Also, I just went to my boss's office to get whatever, and the box I had to get also had a CD case in it. Heh.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Happy Birthday to Lilty and dw!

We have no qualms about belowing for each other in our department, though if people actually have to carry on a conversation, they will walk over to the other person's desk.

Got the consumer reporting thing for why State Farm declined to insure me in the mail today. The report from my previous insurance is wrong. They list both accidents as happening to my first car, with no dispensation for the first accident and then a total loss for the second, when actually it was the first accident that was a total loss and then the second with my new car was a crap load of damage. So that needs to be corrected. There was also a note to expect an additonal report from a credit agency. So unless there's something really bad on my credit report (which there shouldn't be, since I just go my free annual report) I'm not sure where the problem is. Especially since my previous insurer reported having to dispense less money than they actually did. (The total value of my old car was less than $2,000. The damage to my new car was over $5000.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I may have found a Sephora on the way to my meeting! Score. But now I have choices. Must write them down.
