You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yes, millions of women might watch to fume over JL Halfwit playing such a character, but I don't think advertisers would want their products to appear in the midst of a show whose chief draw would be the seething hatred the audience feels toward the star.

Millions of others would see the premise and just not bother to ever watch. IJS.

What is even happening?

And approximately 8 million of us are bitter that Joan of Arcadia was replaced by it. I get itchy calling women names like halfwit and hugetit though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why can't we call women halfwits?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd probably be right there with them. The concept worked for a laugh once, with Denise Richards as a tank top-clad nuclear scientist in a Bond movie, but it would have no repeated appeal for me.

I mourn the fact that I'm going to have to watch an hour of her show at some point to see an actor I like as one of the ghosts.

I don't know. I lost my rationale, but I was on a roll, so I went with it. In this case, maybe it itched this time, because it's so obviously derived from her name, but halfwit and nitwit, etc., also just seem to be used against women more than men, politicians excepted.

The evil is this way?

Pogara -- I am so sorry for your loss. My sympathies to you and your sister.

Don't think of it as me calling a woman "Halfwit." Think of it as me calling a vapid performer that makes Dan Cortese look like a skilled thespian who's succeeded based on talent alone in comparison 'Halfwit."

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have no issue calling anyone a halfwit that I think is one, even less of one calling someone on my tv that. That said, I'll be watching the first episode of JLH's new show.

Heh.

Actually despite laughing, I have no basis for criticizing her other than watching a handful of Po5s, years ago, and to be frank, she wasn't my main focus.
