t just started raining here. I wish it weren't.
It was raining here this morning. Imagine my upset. Then, at lunch, it was hot and humid. Which makes it better.
Flickr is kicking my ass. I am so irritated.

Oh, that was cold.
Polgara, I'm so sorry about your mother. I hope you and your sister are able to lean on each other during the next couple of weeks.
What's the organisation like, belle? My issue with Flickr may be a result of a wonky proxy setup, or a wonky client, but I'd really like all these pictures to go into the Kenya set without me dragging and dropping every blasted one (since the client seems to not want to put them in automatically). I want checkboxes to get pictures into a set, not just out. Can't find 'em.
don't know. I am still on the ofoto/kodakgallery place.
I always liked the song "Don't go back to Rockville." Except when I lived and went to school in the Washington/Baltimore corridor, because I would see highway signs for Rockville, Maryland all the time and get earwormed.
JZ, as always my sister in the Sam Cooke love.(I like CH, too, but I was not introduced to her until college whereas the Cooke thing? I don't remember when I recognized his voice, but have heard him my whole life.) I like "Shiny Happy People" but I am sarcastic all the time, and once called myself in e-mail a "shiny happy cripple"(I don't think my friend got the ref. no wonder she thinks I'm such a wordsmith, right?) I'm embarrassed but I like "Everybody Hurts" then make fun of myself for it.
The banana as we know it is on a crash course toward extinction. For scientists, the battle to resuscitate the world’s favorite fruit has begun—a race against time that just may be too late to win
I love the Sports Guy, Matt.
Sadly, I think his hypothesis is flawed. Yes, millions of women might watch to fume over JL Halfwit playing such a character, but I don't think advertisers would want their products to appear in the midst of a show whose chief draw would be the seething hatred the audience feels toward the star.
