I'm a sucker. '89 has Tone Loc, FYC, Anita Baker, Bon Jovi, and for when you really need a laugh, an assload of Vanilli.

Dana, I skipped lots - how are your parents doing?
They're better, thanks. They've been able to get into the city and verify that the second story of the house is fine -- no water, no damage. We're hoping to go there en masse this weekend (my parents, me, and some of my dad's brothers) to start ripping out sheet rock and carpet. The big concern, now that the water's drained, is the mold that's growing all over everything downstairs.
My grandparents and great aunt returned to their homes yesterday. We're hoping they won't have to evacuate again because of Hurricane Rita.
Polgara, heartfelt condolences to you and your sister.
Sexual intercourse as a precipitating factor of transient global amnesia.
Okay, given that my father has had transient global amnesia, there is not enough ewww in the world.
I saw a white squirrel in Minneapolis once. And just a few weeks ago I saw a black squirrel in southern Wisconsin.
Just make sure they never come in contact.
Now I'm picturing a black squirrel and a white one, both attached to a bomb. Our hero has ten seconds to defuse the bomb.
"The black one--no the white one!!!"
I thought the Malkovich/Dangerous Liaisons video was for "No More I Love Yous".
I don't know what it says about my graduating high school class that the Macarena made it into the top 100 list twice.
This was your graduating high school class? Dude. This was the year I moved to Massachusetts.
It's all very Liaisons Dangereuses but I really liked that particular video, so I remember it very well.
I really love that video.
And I weep for the too 100 of 1989. Not that I was listening to a lot of it. I was curled up in my room with the windows blacked out listening to The Dead Milkmen and The Circle Jerks.
Hmm. During what should have been my graduating year, I was pretty isolated from mainstream music, so while lots of them ring some faint bells, I'm not very familiar with most of them. So let's try the last year I was in high school... huh. Nope. What the hell was I listening to?
It's starting me off with Boomtown Rats.
"I don't like Mondays" or something less well known?
