I actually used to have nightmares about being pursued by a sock monster. One was a giant green argyle sock and the other, an orange argyle sock. I blame The Electric Company. It also gave me the brick wall man nightmare.

update on the aunt: she was moved from ICU to rehabilitation early this morning. my mom called about an hour and a half ago and told me they are SENDING HER HOME this afternoon!! what sense does this make? to go from ICU to home in one day is just insane. fucking insurance companies. i know that's what it is.
my dad went to see her this morning and he says she seems good. she's cracking jokes and she told him she's not really in any pain. i'm just flabbergasted at the hospital.
