move out and draw fire

appears in a swirl of Greek letters

There are two main types of Greek keyboards, but almost nobody uses the Greek-specific one. The usual one is a QWERTY keyboard, but with the few alphabetical differences. I can type on one of those with only about a 15% drop in typing speed.

Businesses that have a lot of international business, like IKEA, use keyboards that toggle between Greek and Latin characters. I don't know if they also have a Cyrillic function.

Our wings are not tired.

They only named 21 storms. The ones we have left this year are Philippe (who looks big to me), Rita (will rain on me tomorrow), Stan, Tammy, Vince, and Wilma. That would be plenty for me, but when I look at the calendar it doesn't seem likely at this pace. Stupid warm ocean.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hee - the crime fighting actuary. With lasers. Cute.

DH loves this commercial.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's really hard to imagine a frightening, life-threatening storm named "Stan."

Thanks, Raq! I guess I won't be able to look at one of those and say, "It's all Greek to me."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Housewarming party went nicely. Now we have lots of dessert-type snack food. So much for eating better...

What is even happening?

The Yahoo links are always so deceiving. By the time I click them the next day, it's a crap shoot as to whether or not I'll see the picture the person was linking. I suspect the picture I saw of Halle Berry is not the picture ita was pointing to.

Allyson, insent.

hip deep in pie

I love Alyson Hannigan's dress.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yahoo is tricksy, but I linked to IMDB. And, no, it wasn't Halle last night. It was the mother from Malcolm In The Middle.

Oh, well phooey on them too, then. Was it this picture [link] , ita? It almost looks like she wore some sort of shield or something on them. A little scary.

ION Emmy news, I don't think he *has* to call Buffy, any more.

*sigh* When did James Spader turn into a middle aged guy?

[link] Piven is still the cute.

Hargitay is working her dress [link] but I guess I expect that from Jayne Mansfield's daughter.

I was just going to say there was a lot of color this year, but then I hit a run of black dresses.

Alyson Hannigan's dress is perfect on her. She looks wonderful.

Kiefer has looked better. [link] I guess he's no longer dating the woman who played Michelle.

What happened to Stockard? [link]

[link] Shohreh Aghdashloo is so very beautiful. I'd like to see a color on her.

[link] Marcia Cross hit on the perfect color green for her, with that dress, and her hair. Pretty pretty pretty.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bill Clinton breaks with the tradition of US presidents not criticising their successors: [link]

"We have never done this before. Never in the history of our republic have we ever financed a conflict, military conflict, by borrowing money from somewhere else."

Clinton added: "We depend on Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Korea primarily to basically loan us money every day of the year to cover my tax cut and these conflicts and Katrina. I don't think it makes any sense."
