Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Ann, that's a ferret.

The thing is, Bush's "Mandate from the People" wasn't to take care of Americans. It was to kill terrorists. Or Iraqis. Whichever. Brown people, anyway.

Not to mention that, as close as the last 2 presidential elections were (complete with non-frivolous allegations of foul play), not that strong a "Mandate from the People" in the first place.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

most wireless providers have. they finally realized that the #1 reason that people stayed with their provider is because they didn't want to lose their number. Now that's not an issue, they've straightened up.
Exactly. Of course, now that they've straightened up, I don't want to change providers. Bastards. They should give me cupcakes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Cupcake Cosa Nostra. Evil, but tasty.

Bill Forsthe's movie Comfort and Joy was about an Good Humor-type truck war in Scotland, where the mob runs all the ice cream trucks.

Not as good as Gregory's Girl or Local Hero (One of the best movies ever!) but it has its moments.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm starting to like Top Pot more than Krispy Kreme.

Heretic! What's next, liking that "barbecue" they sell at Safeco Field better than Dreamland?

You're the Mom. What more mandate do you need?
