Kudos to reporters and editors that publish people's crazy ass comments under their full names.
Clearly. This is SO the best part of that story.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

How do you live in LA and be paranoid about loss of power?
I think a lot of people in LA are paranoid about everything.
As I said to mother today, "If we ever had a real blackout here? People are totally hitting the gun shops and barricading themselves in their houses."
From the LA Times site:
52. The power went out and I had to stop working. I ate lunch. The power came back on and I didn't tell my boss. Then I wrote this.

We'd just make a run on the stores and buy up all the milk, toilet paper and bread. It's our response to everything.
I need Biology help.
You are a girl.
You are a girl.
I know. And a girl just helped me. Turns out I actually knew what I was doing, but was just making it more difficult than it really was.
I'm going home. laters.
I've been so broken and jaded by the LAUSD, that when the power went down, I assume it was only school wide and continued teaching. Cause it could have been just my building. Who knows?
Power outtages have become unfaxeable.

Now THAT's what I'm talking about. Wait, is that your coworker Matt, Robin?
ION, I hate UPS. Hate. I have no idea how I'm going to get my textbook, and it's not my fault. I'm on hold now trying to modulate my tone so I don't flip the fuck out all over the next person who picks up the line.
SEVEN flights and you’re bitching and saying it’s like 9/11? WTF? People walked down FIFTY or a HUNDRED flights, if they were lucky enough to survive. Stupid bint.
I don't know how many of the non-Bronzers among you will remember little bam bam. He's a Gotham Bronzer, but he (all too seldom) pops in, usually to the Firefly, and Minearverse threads. When he posted at our little ex-pat forum about 9/11, it was...I don't even know how to describe it, because anything I can say does him no justice.
Anyhow, I remember him posting about the fire fighters making it up to the (I think) 89th floor of the World Trade Center, and he broke me, then. And here's this little ass hat comparing walking down seven flights of stairs. It makes me consider wishing things no person should ever wish.
