Oh, and this morning I woke up with an earworm of the
Wizard of Oz
song "The Lollipop Guild" - except the words "lollipop guild" were replaced with "underpants gnomes." I blame Consuela's tag.
(for posterity: Underpants gnomes are never a valid step in an argument. -- Nutty)
I don't know. Clint Black is that sort of country I don't listen to.
ETA: If You're interested at all here is a little about McMurtry with links about his song "We Can't Make It Here." It's an amazing -insert whatever kind of song that sort of thing is- about the clusterfuck that life today is
t sticks tongue out at DavidS
Also? That should been "affects."
... or maybe not. This whole 'a" -vs- "e" thing is fracking with my head.
It is Sunday. In the States, this means that if you are doing stuff on your computer that feels like "work", your life has gone horribly wrong.
PREACH IT BROTHER! TESTIFY ABOUT THE SABBATH!
After my unfortunate experience with the dotcom (in which I quit after my fourth straight 80-hour, 7 day week) I resolved to never, ever work on Sunday again. And I've held to that remarkably well.
I worked today, but it was retail, and a second job, so I don't think it counts.
PREACH IT BROTHER! TESTIFY ABOUT THE SABBATH!
I would do that, if I knew anything about the Sabbath. Working on Sunday sucks. This is the extent of my knowledge.
Well, I wrote today, but it's not the same.
Actually, as I said before it wasn't so much working as trying on hats.
I can't wear hats. I think they are fun, and I am a little envious of people who can wear them, but I can't.
