That's a neat trick.
I thought so too. I called a cab, since I had to leave my car here yesterday, and a stretch limo showed up. I guess they don't have a lot of call for stretch limos in Belmont, so the driver moonlights as a cab driver.
eta: Yay Kate.
“overseeing the emergence services division”
So is this a typo from the report or his resume?
It seems like what would make sense is all students get paid X per hour. If they can get workstudy students, they can get three. If not, they can get one. I mean, right?
That's how it worked at my old U.
I accidentally took a stretch limo to work today.
Wow. So... some karmic balance for yesterday?
Happy birthday, Nutty!!!!
Perkins, that is the way to go to work.
when she'd baked Banana Bread, it was taken away from the kids, and they weren't allowed to eat it.
My Mom, who used to be Assistant Superintendent, says nowadays they aren't supposed to allow home-cooked food of any kind, because they can't certify the cleanliness of Mom's kitchen or which ingredients she used. Only pre-packaged food is allowed, because it comes from an inspected and Health-Board-certified kitchen AND has an ingredient list.
Wondering just what's in that water? Here are some maps showing things like superfund sites in some areas affected by Katrina: [link]

Wow. I guess it makes sense. But seems weird at the same time.
In meandmycat news, this morning I learned that I shouldn't take the lid off the new kitty litter container before scooping out the litter box, because the cat will turn the fresh litter bucket into her new litter box.
Heh. One time, I was dumping the old litter and my cat Pending came skidding into the bathroom in a great hurry, gave me a Pitiful Look and let loose with a big stinky in the spot his box was supposed to be. I had to laugh.
He certainly wasn't ..pending.

But this wasn't for class consumption. This was a mother, packing Banana bread as her individual child's snack.
We can't send in cupcakes for the class etc., any more either, although as far as I know, that move grew out of our town's change in its food allergy policy.
