Yeah...well, my grief is somewhat mitigated by not having to be locked in a closet with pervy Uncle Rupert, mos def, but still... And yeah, Hec, would hate to lose job and reapply for the benefits but would love to list "punched McClellan in the mouth" under "Reason for Dismissal. He'd probably cry like a little bitch, too, and not like one of ours. Nuh uh. Not good enough. Wanna see him and "Brownie" as Oz-Style "prags", complete with make-up. Schillinger optional. ETA: Five words for Rush: Social. contract., you. junkie. asshole. (Mostly I'm fairly forgiving of such personal weaknesses, but he's totally gotten Special handling over it, and it turns my stomach.)

I actually know more words to "Who's to blame?" (and I like it) than the others. It is just the usual frustration of my rare earworms: I want to finish the song. And I can't. Cause I can't recall lyrics fershit.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

In other news, I read David Brooks's op-ed piece today, against my own wisdom.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

So being humane to the poor is the root of all problems? Is that what Rush is saying?

By those standards Victorian-era Whitechapel must have been paradise.

hip deep in pie

The article says they are still here, but they're not. They came home yesterday. [link]

I saw something on nightline about this parish. The Sheriff and a State Senator basically started their own rescue, commandeering boats and supplies.

Another interesting piece in the Globe about one precinct of Police in NO. [link]

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

By those standards Victorian-era Whitechapel must have been paradise.

Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses? t /Scrooge

That explains the oxycotin addiction! He's trying to shut up the Three Ghosts.

Ann, that's a ferret.

By those standards Victorian-era Whitechapel must have been paradise.

Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?

My mind went to Jack the Ripper, but that's another good response.

Wishing Rush got haunted like Tommy from "Rescue Me".

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Now I have REM's Bang and Blame in my head.
