"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Right off the bat, doesn't this refute his contention that it's 97%

I think you're doing reality-based math, DX. I'm pretty sure this guy isn't.

Yeah, I did think, er, clearly the rest of the "probabilities" only work if the coin comes up heads on this one?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Hello. Have skipped about a thousand posts in various threads, all told.

Whazzup?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

And they let this man teach? At Oxford?

Well, they don't let him teach math or logic:

Oxford University professor Richard Swinburne, a leading philosopher of religion, has seemingly done the impossible.

There's mathematical proof that Jesus was indeed resurrected by God.

I know, I saw that... it doesn't help. They let this man teach anything? At freaking Oxford?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, they don't let him teach math or logic:

At least at my university, logic was also taught in the philosophy department -- I took Logic 101 there, as well as a course on Goedel's Incompleteness.

Maybe he teachs at their extension school.

Point taken. They do at URI, too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Everything on that site is obviously true. You can tell by the giant fonts.
