The best uncool retro car has to be either an AMC Gremlin or AMC Pacer.

Nope. Bobcats are Ford and Gremlins are AMC.

They had a great Pacer TV ad where it was debuted down a runway lined with models. It was so wide it knocked all the models into the audience.
My uncle had an AMC Eagle station wagon that I thought was pretty damned ugly. But that thing was indestructable.
The Bobcat and Pinto are twins. There's almost no difference between them (the grill is the most noticeable thing) but because the Bobcat is much more rare it means a Bobcat is worth almost $1000 (IIRC) than an equivelent Pinto.
I thought Pacers were cool when they came out - they looked all futuristic and had an efficient use of interior space for a small car....

Earwormed now. Thanks so much, I'd forgotten all about that ad campaign...until NOW!

Dodge Darts are pretty heinous too.
I miss my Datsun B210. My god, what an unkillable car.

I had absolutely no idea that a campaign as such existed.

I think they're OK-looking. Obscenely reliable, too.
