If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ooh, Target. Maybe that's what I'll do today.

Tom, I'm sorry you're having a rough weekend. I've been keeping you in my thoughts.

I think you should go today, Jesse. Because, Sanrio! Target!

I hope to go to the Apple Store today for a mouse and a speaker/clock setup thingie.

And I'd like a lamp from somewhere as well as some hardware to make lanyards.

Had a good day yesterday and Saturday. Spent an evening at the zoo and a morning at the Wild Animal Park.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think you should go today, Jesse. Because, Sanrio! Target!

Yeah, I think I am. Then I can spend the next couple of days in the house cleaning (ha ha ha ha) and whatnot -- mentally preparing for school.

I am at work. I have stuff to do. I don't want to do it. I am bored.

In related news, I have to hire one of the 3 students I interviewed Friday. A is a junior, crushingly shy, no work experience. B is a new grad student, cheerful and competent, worked for 4 years of undergrad organizing a department's files. C is a new grad student, pleasant, work experience limited to day care/church camp.

Logic says, hire B. But I liked them all, and feel bad about not hiring A or C, especially A, who really needs a boost to get on the train of life and was so clearly way out of his comfort zone even interviewing with me that I wept inside for him.

Also, how do these kids (on work-study, so not fat cats) get through life without having had jobs? When I graduated from college I had: babysat, had a paper route, worked at a clothing store, worked at a farm stand, filed at a doctor's office, waitressed (restaurant and catering), worked in a restaurant/catring kitchen, staffed a B&B reception desk, and made slides for the art department.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm not sure what was happening, but it seems to be fixed now.
