I have a non-political question: I was planning on taking my cable box in to trade it in for the DVR today, but just learned that the location I was going to go to is the only one open today because of the holiday. Does this mean the line will be ridonkulous? Hmmm. Maybe I don't care. But maybe I could do it on Wednesday when normal people are at work. HMMMMM.

Jesse, the line might be non-existent because of the holiday. I'd say it's a 50-50 chance. But if it were me, I'd go during the week, if you can.

Yeah, I think you're right. This is really stupid, but I hate having to re-think the plans that only exist in my head.

I, unfortunately, do this all the time. My husband calls me the Queen of Indecision.
Is that the location that's near the Shake Shack, Jesse? If that's the one, then go now. If not, then wait until it is open, and go then.
No, it's the one in Queens Mall, so I can go to Target and the Sanrio store, too! A perfect day! Which I suppose I could have on Wednesday.
PS: How you doin, Tom?
Better, not great.
Glad to hear that things are better, Tom, even if only a little bit.
My parents' church, which is tiny and has *no* money, is going to be accepting a handful of refugees - part of the 6,000 (I think) coming to New Mexico. The church is also sending 2 disaster-relief trained individuals to help feed refugees in Texas and LA. The town, which has maybe 500 residents, has sent 3-4 volunteer firemen plus shower trucks and other supplies to help with the clean-up.
I found this part of the response so heart warming. Most of the people here are very poor and don't have a lot of cash, but a few are giving what they can.
