will be inspired to make similar offers.
It could help with the refugee situation a LOT. Towns could help famalies establish themselves that much more easily if they already had jobs lined up. It'll be sad for people to be so far flung, but its going to be a long time before everyone can go back home anyway.
BTW, story on our local NPR said that Snohomish County (one north of Seattle) is expecting to receive refugees, but they haven't had confirmation yet.

Turns out my hometown is looking at free public housing and getting them set up to accept refugees (I know some bristle at the term, and prefer victims. But god. They are. In our own country. At our own failings.) So yay poor little Las Cruces for stepping up. I honestly wasn't sure if the relocation would extend this far, but then I read they are extending evacs as far as El Paso, which is just 45 miles south.
