"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

9:13 A.M. - MEXICO CITY (AP) -- The United States has agreed with a request from Mexico to not prosecute undocumented Mexican migrants affected by Hurricane Katrina who ask U.S. officials for help, President Vicente Fox said Friday.

"We have agreed with the government of the United States that those who were not documented at the time will not be subject to any pressure or persecution whatsoever," Fox said during a government event Friday afternoon.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I agree in part with Strega. I don't know about claims of racism, but I'd argue that Bush doesn't care about poor people, black or white.

Yes. I've always thought that in some ways, the kind of intense indifference that Bush and others like him show people is just as bad as racism.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So, I'm reading the How Stuff Works website (just finished the one on tattoos and another on verbal self defense). Anyhow, they have an article on how the Batsuit works which I think is excellent. It includes notes from Nolan.

Perkins, ITA agree that the indifference is just as bad as racism!

Also, randomly, as I type this while sitting in bed, there are 16 legs on the bed.

I only have two on mine, since I chased the cats away. I had to. It was necessary for their survival.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

God, I'm in love with Batman Begins.

Lo! It is time to make pancakes. I haven't had pancakes in a few weeks.

I was just wondering if I wanted pancakes badly enough to get dressed and go get them. I am not sure yet.

They're easy to make! You should do that.

I'm on a mission to clear out as much of my fridge and freezer in the next week as possible. This is my standard pre-trip prep, no matter if the trip is only three days. I have an assload of meat in my freezer. I don't know what I was thinking. But, I made a very simple tasty roast last night.

And now I want to make bread! That's cheating. But I want to...then I'd have to freeze a loaf.

I will make the Weetabix muffins, though. Those look cool.

After having to kill a spider that looked minded to rappel onto my chest yesterday morning, it took me a moment to realize this was a good thing!
