Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

I just changed it to "general tag". Pot was really just not working at all, was it? But, you know, THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT.

Ahem.

Visilurking

Rick, Merriam-Webster's second definition:

2 a : a popular belief or tradition that has grown up around something or someone; especially : one embodying the ideals and institutions of a society or segment of society (seduced by the American myth of individualism -- Orde Coombs)
b : an unfounded or false notion

"False notion" may not be the only definition, but it is a valid one, and when I hear the word I generally apply some element of that one to it. I don't think I'm alone in that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh. I wasn't even thinking of "pot" that way - I was just being silly absurdist.

I think "pot" works in a sort of "melting pot" kind of way.

Well, I changed it before I saw your post, though melting pot sort of where I was aiming. And I totally get that you were MOCKING MY ABSURD WORD CHOICE in jest. It made me laugh. Also, caps lock is fun.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

(Bob bob, if you're reading, now is not the time to invoke that nonsense-philosopher from last week!)

He's not around; Bob Bob pere is in the hospital in Ohio. I just found out it was worse than they thought but I can't do anything from here. It's very frustrating and I think I should stop posting for now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You are probably not alone in that, but at the same time, there are many people who will focus on the first and second definitions, and will not be offended.

Me, I'm approaching offended by the notion that referring to religion as a myth is as universally offensive to people of faith as racism is to people of conscience.

Anyway, what I really wanted to talk about is how pretty Allyson is. And how it's a travesty that she's NGA.

Oh no, bon. All my best to you and the family Bob.

Our wings are not tired

What about "Origin Belief" instead of "Origin Myth?"
