Despite all the looting hysteria, there are generous people out there:
What's fucked up about the far-away people offering housing, though, is apparently if you're too far away from the disaster, you might lose out on available aid later. Also, they are wary of people spreading diseases around. This is what I learned on Good Morning America.
You should totally have an intern do it. (and I'm only kinda kidding.)
I do feel that a major government leader should not be seen in the middle of the workday shopping for shoes, even at Payless.
That's what Zappo's is for!
That LA Times article was so upsetting.
Interns, Zappos, weekends -- all good options for Condi. Anyway, I'm sure the store would deliver to her.
I can't get past it, Stephanie.
It (the LA Times article) made me even crankier than I was before.
I just hate the universe this week.
A child has been raped? God.
Given that it's the last week in August and a couple days before Labor Day weekend, I imagine Rice is on her vacation. Natural domestic disasters have nothing to do with the Secretary of State. Neither Angry Lady nor most of us have stopped our lives for this, and I fucking hope crazy screaming people are immediately removed from people who have secret service protection.
