I didn't get that sense from a skim, but I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. I find it hard to believe almost anything I can't see with my own eyes about what's happening in NO right now.
I have an instinctive distrust of anyone who enjoys playing survival. As one might expect, I met a lot of them as I was growing up, and I can't think of one that didn't have me backing away with minutes of meeting (normally him). Survival living isn't fun or enjoyable. It shouldn't be.

Well, he was talking about moving 55 gal. drums of diesel fuel around. I didn't read enough to find out where he got them from.
I am telling you now that the people we've been talking to say they are not recognizing the NOPD as a legitimate authority anymore, since cops have been seen looting in Walmarts and forcing people out of stores so they could back up SUVs and loot them. Don't shoot the messenger....
Yes, but if the loaded SUVs then drive off to decimated areas this is a GOOD thing.
