It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Big-assed photo of Katrina from space:

That pic looks faked. Not saying it is, but where's the source?

Silence means security silence means approval

Looks like it's from NASA. Here are some of their other images.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

if you don't have a phone by Thursday, my cell is yours to monopolize this weekend.

Thanks, honey. I'd be a lot calmer if I could just get in touch with my parents.

A lot of my Dad's family evacuated to Memphis.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Dana, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I don't know how much I could do from DC, but if there's anything you need, let me know.

-t, if you see this, that goes for you too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Some of the NOAA satellite images are hard to credit. It's pretty amazing.

From a distance.

But none of their pics look like this [link] Not even the same angle. I'm just suspicious because it looks *very* clean (there are some digital edges that look like google earth), it's on some dude's website that just happens to have other photo manipulations-- and I can't find this great pic anywhere else.

Thrive to spite them

Dana--

I have a Virgina Mobile phone you can use this weekend. Well, it's Mom's.

It needs to be reactivated and I'll do that tonight when I get home. I'm driving up to Atlanta Thursday. I'll email you my number and the cell number I'm using so we can coordinate how to get you the phone.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks, Allison. I appreciate the offer, but I think I'm covered. It seems likely that it might be a while before my parents get here, and I'm going to want the phone long-term. Or, if miraculously, everything is solved, I can use shrift's phone over this weekend.

The DragonCon schedule is up, by the way. I saw at least three Serenity panels, all scheduled for huge rooms.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

bon bon, the photo comes from the NOAA site: [link]

Thrive to spite them

Okay.

I keep looking at the Con schedule getting slightly confused because I'm not sure what all the panels are for. The titles aren't descriptive as they could be. I was disregarding one with Paul McGillion that I'd like to go to.

Also I saw a Buffy/Angel vid contest thing..I'm not sure if that would be worth going to though.

I couldn't figure out where Jamie Bamber is going to be either.
