My nephew's wife and kids left yesterday, but he stayed there with his father. My nephew just spoke to his wife and she said he was on the roof of their 2 story apartment building. They lost everything. They are waiting there with other residents. A neighbor of his is a single mother wiht her two children. One of them is almost blind and the other is autistic. They are just getting rescue crews out there in the last hour or so. Whole huge areas aren't getting reports because they're so flooded. The north short of Lake Pontchartrain got hit really hard. Wind damage too and the flooding. It's not good over there.
