Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds pretty flooded in New Orleans. I'm hearing some word that Plaquemines Parish might be flooded from levee to levee. MidCity has some flooding with a lot of cars under water up to the roof.

eta: Sounds like Slidell is wiped out. Completely under. Roofs torn off. It caught the edge of the eyewall.

I am disappointed that geography prevents such a display.

It would have been a pink panda pile, for I am very empinkened today.

Are you pinker and prouder than previous?

Silence means security silence means approval

I'm hearing some word that Plaquemines Parish might be flooded from levee to levee.

Being that they took a full-on hit from the storm, that's not surprising.

I'm seeing some pictures from the MS and AL coasts, and it looks awful there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey -- what does "batting cleanup" mean?

Hey -- what does "batting cleanup" mean?

You're fourth in the batting order. Presumably with men on base, so you "clean up" the bases by knocking them. Usually your most powerful hitter (most home runs) hits there.

Unless we're talking about sex. Then I don't know.

Hey -- what does "batting cleanup" mean?

It's the #4 spot in the order. It's usually a hitter with power + average who can drive the runners in (the 1-2-3 batters) and thus "clean off" the bases.

The leadoff hitter should have a high on-base percentage. The #2 hitter should be able to move the leadoff guy over and avoid the double play. The #3 hitter is usually your slugger, though sometimes they hit him fourth.

Pinker, yes. Prouder, probably not.

Prouder, probably not.

Not even in the Shakespearean sense?

I'm shocked and disappointed.

Also grateful -- thanks, guys.
