Shit's all sorts of different now.

I lounged in a crystal clear pool while staring at the ocean with a fresh, blended mai tai in my hands that had been brought to me by a very hot pool boy.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Who did good things this weekend that they can post about to get peoples' minds off of Katrina (and, um, allow me to keep slacking)?

I spent all Saturday at a spa (which involved a body scrub & moisturizing treatment, which was damn near a religious experience), followed by having fabulous Southern food at a tiny, hole-in-the-wall place.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I played with my good friends' two year old and ate really good pizza on Saturday.

Spent Sunday afternoon on the patio of my favorite watering hole, eating brunch and drinking $10 all you can drink mimosas.

Silence means security silence means approval

They took the urinal out of the men's bathroom with no indication of when they're going to replace it.

One of the annoyances of this university is their method of fixing things.

1. Identify old/broken fixture. 2. Wait 2-10 years. 3. Remove old/broken fixture. 4. Wait 2-10 years. 5. Replace fixture. 6. Fixture breaks. 7. Wait 2-10 years. 8. Go to #1.

Sigh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

$10 all you can drink mimosas.

DUDE. I want that. Within walking distance of my home.

Our wings are not tired.

I rushed Bobby to the doctor to get a drywall screw removed from the sole of his foot. OK, not a good thing, but Bobby thought it was cool enough and the doctor gave him the screw in a little specimen bottle.

I was rather lazy most of the weekend.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I made the CI molasses spice cookies, only with black treacle instead, and they turned out very well indeed.

And I discovered the world's best diaper doublers. I like them so much that I'm considering picking up more, even though they're not cheap. (I got the four I have used, so they weren't too bad, but new ones are about $3-4 each.)
