Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Silence means security silence means approval

Forgot this:

Say, dw (or anyone cssly inclined, really), speaking of css, have you seen: [link] ? We used it to convince the powers that be of the glories of style sheets.

I asked a candidate about that site today; she didn't know what it was. But she did say enough about how much she likes CSS and tableless design that I just about demanded that she be my plural wife. But then I realized that a) I'm not Mormon, b) she probably wasn't, c) my singular wife most certainly isn't and wouldn't find this amusing at all.

But she is going to get the job offer (pending reference check).

And oh,

KAY-VEE-OOOO-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

It used to come in through our phone, it was that powerful a station. Every teenage conversation I had on the phone had a country music soundtrack.

And that probably explains my high school dating life misery.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Who did good things this weekend that they can post about to get peoples' minds off of Katrina (and, um, allow me to keep slacking)?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I achieved nothing this weekend until about 8:52PM on Sunday. Not even an errand.

I did ... surf, krav, bubble bath, lie in the sun, run, watch TV and laugh with friends, though.

This is not the life you had in Michigan.

Because books.

I watched Trading Spaces and giggled maliciously as the con!homeowners put one over on Doug and Hildi. That was pretty much it for the fun, though.

Sounds like a lovely weekend, ita.

Other than dinner with G on Friday, and apple pancakes with G&J on Sunday, I didn't do any RL socializing, but I got two things done that I deperately needed to do (buy a printer and finish unpacking), so I was happy.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I saw the penguin movie, and did some writing, and bought a cute new top (currently adorning me), and went hiking with Java Cat (the B.orger, not her cat), and watched three hours of Doctor Who.

Now I want a Doctor of my own. Complete with ears and leather jacket.

Or a lemon bar.
