I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Maybe those bodies are from the aboveground cemetaries?

Unfortunately, that's not the impression I'm getting.

Because books.

Maybe those bodies are from the aboveground cemetaries?

But wouldn't there be floating caskets then, too?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Maybe those bodies are from the aboveground cemetaries?

But wouldn't there be floating caskets then, too?

Maybe the bodies were stashed away by vampires for a rainy day.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe the bodies were stashed away by vampires for a rainy day.

They're no fun when they're already dead.

Unf. It all sounds so horrible. It's some consolation that the city's, well, still there, but ...

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I imagine conditions aren't great for identifying large things floating in floodwater.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Willliams Boulevard in Kenner is flooded north of I-10 to just before the lake levee, officials said.

That's on the west side. So flooding on either side of the Quarter. (And mind, the whole thing is surrounded by water.) That's not so good

Kenner is in Jefferson Parish. See my post above on grassy neutral grounds vs. concrete neutral grounds.

I'm still gonna hold out hope that the part of the city I knew (Uptown through the Quarter) isn't getting hit too bad.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm still gonna hold out hope that the part of the city I knew (Uptown through the Quarter) isn't getting hit too bad.

From what I've read, uptown isn't getting hit that badly.

Silence means security silence means approval

I finished up interviewing people for an open web/graphic designer position today. You know what makes me happy? When they know what CSS is.

I'm watching the WWL feed. They just showed a guy who drove into water on I-10 because "he didn't see it." The water had to be 15 feet deep. How do you not see that?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That overpass is right by my parents' house.
