They're in Jackson and Vicksburg, MS. They'll be getting some heavy winds later today. The bigger concern is the family house that's on the coast near Bay St. Louis, which was destroyed by Camille.
I was only in NOLA for maybe 72 hours, but hearing about and seeing the destruction makes me cry. I fell in love with that city and am sad it won't be quite the same when I go back.

WDSU is reporting that water has reached a 2nd floor of a casino in MS.

Water has reached the second floor of the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Miss. There are reports of a 22-foot storm surge in the area.

Anne Rice sold her Garden District mansion in NO. She bought a home in La Jolla, CA. She may still maintain some kind of residence in NO, but I think she got tired of all the fans visiting.
