move out and draw fire

The DH is playing GTA: San Andreas and just called me around to look at something. He's in a crypt in a graveyard, and there are pizza boxes on top of the sarcophagus, a TV on another stone coffin or sarcophagus, and an easy chair pointed at the TV.

I think "Passions" is about to come on.

What is even happening?

Sue, Jen still pops into the Bitches thread, semi-regularly.

Flea, she's so big, now! And that smile--that's the smile every parent hopes to see on a child's birthday. Casper is melt-inducing.

hip deep in pie

Ah, I don't. There could be a whole raft of posters that I don't know about.

Swouncing

Welcome back, Cindy!

I'm relieved that -t checked in and she and her DH are safely away.

There could be a whole raft of posters that I don't know about.

I sometimes don't even recognize the names inside the Natter thread, which I'm supposadly keeping up with (which translates to skipping muchly, but still).

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Happy birthdays for Jen, meara and Casper.

I got no sleep last night. On the bright side I'm almost ready for work nearly an hour early and have a chance to catch up on stuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday to Jen and meara!

David Blaine is a very, very good magician. It's his job to make it look like miracles, and he does.

Too bad he turned into a hipster freak. When that Street Magic show first aired a few years ago, I had to call people to see if they were watching, because it was just so freaky.

So, it looks like the storm turned a little? I just heard on the tv that windows are starting to blow out of some fancy hotel, and it makes me wonder why they didn't board them up. Does that not actually work?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy birthday Jen and meara!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy birthday, Jen and meara!

I've been visiting family for the past three days, and watching the weather station with horrified fascination. I lived through Hurricane Fran a while back, and it was not as powerful as Katrina. I'm a good five hour drive inland, to boot. And yet there were trees down everywhere, the water wasn't safe to drink for days, and we went a week without power. I hope New Orleans and New Orleanders come through OK.

Welcome back, Cindy!

Thank you, Nilly.

I think there's a couple of new people, or at least people who are new to Natter, and maybe Minearverse. I kept meaning to make note of their names when I was catching up, but more often than not, catching up was a big skip and skim. A skimp. That's what it was. A skimp.

I just read part of the superdome's roof is peeling off in two places. Uhg.
