The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It won't kill you but it might eat your brain.
Eh, I'm not planning on using it much this week anyway.

If I really have to be able to breathe through my nose, I breathe steam to get out the gunk that's already in my sinuses, then use a nasal spray plus my usual antihistamine.

Steam is a good idea too.

Bacon will also clear out your sinuses, Perkins.

But it might be harder to put up my nose than the nasal spray. Or the knitting needles, for that matter.

Perkins, I use sudafed 12-hour. Which is white.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Pssst! Read the words on the outside of the box....

Ann, that's a ferret.

My parents ask about my love life because a) they want grandkids and b) they don't think I can be trusted to look after myself.

I offer you the example of me. My brother and I finished school about the same time. Almost immediately, our mother started putting the pressure on for grandkids. (Though I must admit, it helped that my brother became engaged before he graduated.)

What she ended up with -- one son ended up with another man, and the other in a marriage that turned out incapable of reproduction.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Truth is, the guy who kept on dating me only because I understood a CS algorithm, despite every other thing about me being wrong for him, bothered me more.

That guy is both weird and lame, I say.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I took a CVS-brand Benadryl about an hour ago, now. Brand-name Benadryl makes me a blithering idiot, but this stuff, which usually does not have wakefulness side effects on me, has made me a blithering idiot today.

Your biochemistry and you!

It is a tiny pill of the hot pink variety.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I took a CVS-brand Benadryl about an hour ago, now. Brand-name Benadryl makes me a blithering idiot, but this stuff, which usually does not have wakefulness side effects on me, has made me a blithering idiot today.

It's the same chemical. It will have the same effect.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Perkins, if you're stuffy as well as runny, you need a decongestant and an antihistamine. If you're just runny, with watery eyes, you just need an antihistamine.

Me, I never miss the chance to have a drug-induced nap, so I usually go for the both. No matter what the color is.

I also like the saline nose spray--which I've been using exclusively for the pregnancy stuffiness.
