I learned today that cheetahs have notoriously low spermcounts.

Cass, if I asked for more heat, kat'd kill mebe very sad. The Valley high is supposed to be 99. Low 90s in my neighbourhood. With which I'm good.
Also agree on the e-mail. Do not have a conversation.
Five house points degrees to Perkins. Ten if you want them.
Or leave her a voicemail at work that she'll get Monday morning if you want it to be a little more personal. But send the email to her and to HR, and don't actually talk to her.Check, email to boss that is copied to HR and I will leave boss a voicemail at the office. When Buffistas all agree on what I should do, I listen. Especially when narcotics are already involved in the equation.
Cass, add me to the pile of Buffistas that agrees you should not work. I think you should follow your doctor's orders about work to the letter. If you go back early, and end up exacerbating your injury, you'll need more time off, and your boss isn't going to be any happier about that. Your doc has approved this time off, and like you said, if work hadn't messed up your insurance, you'd have sought treatment sooner, and not gotten this bad.
I think your note to HR should reference your doctor's orders on this, too.
Happy Birthday Casper!
I hope that the party goes/went well.
I can't believe the size of that storm -- the graphic that CNN was using makes it look like a giant bandsaw heading towards Louisiana.
It just sounds worse and worse: [link]
Experts have warned for years that the levees and pumps that usually keep New Orleans dry have no chance against a direct hit by a Category 5 storm.
That's exactly what Katrina was as it churned toward the city. With top winds of 165 mph and the power to lift sea level by as much as 28 feet above normal, the storm threatened an environmental disaster of biblical proportions, one that could leave more than 1 million people homeless.
"All indications are that this is absolutely worst-case scenario," Ivor van Heerden, deputy director of the Louisiana State University Hurricane Center, said Sunday afternoon.
The center's latest computer simulations indicate that by Tuesday, vast swaths of New Orleans could be under water up to 30 feet deep. In the French Quarter, the water could reach 20 feet, easily submerging the district's iconic cast-iron balconies and bars.
Estimates predict that 60 percent to 80 percent of the city's houses will be destroyed by wind. With the flood damage, most of the people who live in and around New Orleans could be homeless.
"We're talking about in essence having -- in the continental United States -- having a refugee camp of a million people," van Heerden said.
...really crossing my fingers that it won't be this bad....
I learned today that cheetahs have notoriously low spermcounts.
I hope to god that never becomes relevant information for any of us.
Obviously the cheetah's lack of masculinity is what makes them vulnerable to Nutty's wee fists of squash court madness.
Ok, any of us except Nutty.
ION, I'm making someone's cookbook recipe for dinner and it smells fucking delicious.
