Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We've only just begun.

Didn't realize you were (a) a Carpenters fan; (b) a surfer. This is all because of Lilo and Stitch isn't it? You're starting to get like that woman in the Superheroes episode of TAL who learned all the necessary skills to be a superhero.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Krav isn't until 11:30. Plenty of time to rest up.

I wouldn't qualify myself as either -- but when an earworm hits, I need to share. As for the surfing -- well, I go out with a board and a wetsuit, and see what happens. So far, not bad.

Look what I just learned from the NYT:

Apple commands an estimated 75 percent of digital music sales, and roughly 80 percent of sales of MP3 players

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I've been watching the new channel "Current": it's interesting, like a combination of early-80s MTV with mid-90s earnestness and production values. But if there's anything they are apparently in need of, it's content, so if anyone knows any aspiring documentarians it'd be wise to point them that way.

with mid-90s earnestness

I don't remember being earnest in the mid-90s.

Well, you were in SF. They're very special.

Silence means security silence means approval

but when an earworm hits, I need to share

You don't have to. I've had "Rhinestone Cowboy" stuck in my head the last three days and not once have I mentioned it to anyone. It's just been in my head, riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo....

The athletic clothing company Under Armour is going public.

Can't wait for their next corporate meeting. The guy who looks like Vernon Reid on steroids will scream, "WE MUST PROTECT SHAREHOLDER VALUE!!!!"

And yet you were! How do you explain that?

Mmm. UnderArmour. Love the stuff.
