Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Mr. Horrible? Mr. Horrible? Telephone call for Mr. Horrible?

Coding and Sleeping

My chair has four levers and three knobs. I've had it for several years and I still don't know what they all do.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm going to wait until they all leave, and then make sure this is my chair.

With all the trouble I've had holding onto this chair, I'm starting to wonder if there's a treasure map hidden inside it, or something.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Once you confirm it's yours, you should stencil "Dana's chair" across the back in fluorescent pink. And install a Lojack.

I'm trying to picture 6 cubic yards of woodchips. I think it's a lot.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I feel like I'm in a They Might Be Giants song.

Did you know it was Istanbul, not Constantinople?

(And yes, I know that they covered that song, not wrote it, but since their version was the first one I've heard, it's their song to me. So there.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My iPod played me the original "Why Does The Sun Shine?" this morning. It was happy-making.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas...

I mean, I know Streep's line inspired Oz's band, but I'm thinking the shirt's a BtVS shout-out, not A Cry in the Dark.

Sorry, but... I'm pretty sure it's not. I don't think Glark was that into the show, really.

Plus, it's not nearly as funny if it's a Buffy riff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Huh. It never even occured to me that it was a movie reference. I thought it was a RL ref.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Yeah, the Dingo At My Baby thing was pretty big way before BtVS (it was in Seinfeld, too), and I don't think it necessarily comes from the movie. But maybe billytea knows if it was a pop culture phrase before the movie came out.
