Um, no. Weather? Maybe.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
We're better than you.
Um, no. Weather? Maybe.
yay Alibelle!
BUT, as a recruiting tool? That seems so evil, because it's hugely enticing especially to a nominally unempowered demographic.
Isn't that pretty much the entire recruiting strategy right there?
"Hec'll be here to argue for SF"
San Francisco likes queer organic carrots.
I think we breed more serial killers, and get the loon prize
I don't know. The whole adult baby/diaper fetish scene is world headquartered here.
I think Portland could actually beat both our fair cities, but they're smaller and thus fly under the national radar.
But I'm willing to concede that both Portland and Seattle are left (in the progressive politics sense) of SF.

Guy on cell at Staten Island Ferry Terminal, Staten Island
No, I'm waiting for the ferry--No, not him; the boat that goes into the city.
A friend of mine was telling me that if you are looking for citizenship and you enlist in the army, you become a citizen after 9 months. True or false?
Wow. FIL was in the Air Force for 20 years and never became a citizen. Then again, he didn't want to either.
Yay Seattle. Well done.
I remember reading early on that some soldiers were made citizens postmortem. Vaguely. So this could be wrong. But it seemed so...sad.
I wish I had a scanner. I just dug up my passport from when I was 15, and found high school pictures (senior pictures! Gee, I was...blondish. With no assistance) and three from me about age 3 or 4, one looking classic grumpy me. And old school ids. A couple of early college shots. Very amusing. Officemate will laugh. We had a deal- he brings in his 1970s high school pictures (afro! Massive afro! Leisure suits! Ruffles!) and I bring in mine (early 90s.) Hee.
Send them to us, sara! We'll scan 'em!
Hee. I may indulge in a scanner. Or get someone at work to do it. Less postage, you know;)
Also, my jaw was MUCH rounder. Babyfaced, even though I was probably 50 lbs lighter.
